Formerly a US Fish & Wildlife Service and Alaska Department of Fish and Game research and patrol boat the Auklet is 58' (17.7m) in length and is a US Coast Guard documented vessel, able to carry up to six passengers for hire. The Auklet is a US Coast Guard 5 Star Safety Rated vessel.

Powered by a single diesel engine the Auklet has a cruising speed of 10 knots with a full compliment o navigation and safety equipment, open deck space with hydraulic boom and block, gear storage space, separate crew and passenger's quarters, large desk in passenger's quarters, Zodiac skiff, bedding supplied and great food.
